I became acquainted with John Mukono and Nissi Project Uganda on Facebook in 2023. It is my privilege to support a ministry that exemplifies “religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless” (James 1:27). Though I have not yet been able to visit the work, John’s FB posts of the children and ministry activities demonstrate a work of God being done through a man of God yielded to His great purpose. I invite you to join me in supporting this good work for the children in Uganda.

Greetings from Mike & Shirley Thiel from the state of Wisconsin in America. I first came in contact with Eddie via Facebook by chance and after a few messages and conversations we became friends. I do believe this connection wasn’t by chance but really was part of God’s plan. As we visited, I learned about the work he does with the orphanage through the NISSI Project Uganda and their needs at the orphanage. After thought and prayer we decided to help support the orphanage financially. Over this time Eddie has sent and posted pictures and videos of the children singing praise, praying over meals, reciting Bible verses and just being kids and it has blessed my heart beyond measure. In James chapter one it describes true religion as looking after the orphans and widows in their distress and keeping one from being polluted from the world. I truly believe Eddie and the staff from the NISSI Project Uganda are the hands and feet of Jesus here on earth. Consider being a helping hand in supporting Nissi Project Uganda.

I was drawn to the Nissi Project because of the children. Every child is precious and should have the ability to have an education and enough food. They are our future and we should invest in them. We are so blessed in the United States to be able to give our children everything they need and Jesus said ‘’to whom much is given, much is required.’’ Seeing their sweet faces is enough to keep trying to help them. I try to imagine how much I’d want others to help them if were my own children and that motivates me to continue serving them. I am helping another organization called Aape care that had several mutual friends also serving, and I was told of this opportunity to help children. Of course, I couldn’t say no! just seeing their pictures was enough to melt my heart and ignite a flame inside of me to serve these beautiful people and to tell others how they could serve them as well.
