OUR STORY

John Mukono - Founder

John lost his dad when he was very young. What followed after was mistreatment and abuse from his caretaker. He decided to run away from home and went to Jinja streets and started living as a street child. One day a Samaritan lady picked him up from the street and took him to church from where he was taken care of by putting him back to school. When he grew up, he saw many children on the same streets that he once lived in, this touched his heart and he remembered how a lady took him off the streets, so he decided to do the same for his brothers and sister

Our Team

We are a team of change-makers who believe that every helping hand can raise a child and create a better future for them.

We started extending help to needy children and youth who were eager to study and work for a better life.  This moment intensified when we found that there were many such underprivileged children who needed help with food, shelter, and education.

We now run an orphanage where we take in homeless children and youths, feed them, clothe them, and pay their school fees.  We have stayed with these children and we have become a home for them.

Our approach

Mission

To reach out to all kinds of destitute afflicted children both in urban and rural communities to build the hope of orphans, foster and promote good health, psychological and social economic prosperity of communities, healing the spiritually hungry souls while protecting their rights.
Whether it is a reassuring conversation, financial help, education, professional training, or simply the assurance that they are not alone, we will make sure that everyone gets support that meets them where they’re at as quickly as possible.

Vision

To support orphans, vulnerable children, elders, poor households, children’s rights, and widows to have a better future through access to education, health, spiritual welfare, and psycho-social support.

Our entire team wants to see a Uganda where every child struggling in any way feels able to reach out and has people who’ll help them with food, education, medical, and more. We want to spread out in every region so we’ll be reachable to all.
