Frequently Asked Questions

What is the best time of year to visit Uganda for gorilla trekking?

While gorilla trekking is available year-round in Uganda, the best times are during the dry seasons: from June to August and December to February. During these months, the trails in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest are drier and less muddy, making the trek slightly easier.

How far in advance should I book my tour?

We highly recommend booking your tour at least 3 to 6 months in advance, especially if your itinerary includes gorilla trekking. Gorilla permits are highly limited and sell out very quickly. Booking early ensures you secure your preferred dates and accommodations.

What is included in your tour packages?

Our packages typically include accommodation, all transportation in a customized 4x4 safari vehicle, an English-speaking professional driver/guide, park entrance fees, gorilla/chimp permits (if applicable), and meals as specified in the itinerary. International flights and personal expenses are usually excluded.

Do I need a visa to enter Uganda?

Yes, most travelers require a visa to enter Uganda. You can easily apply for an East African Tourist Visa online prior to your trip, which allows you to travel between Uganda, Kenya, and Rwanda. We provide all the necessary documentation to support your visa application after booking.
