Sponsor a Child

Sponsorship starts at just $35 (USD) per month, or the equivalent in your local currency. This covers school fees, scholastic materials, a daily nutritious meal, basic medical care, and spiritual mentorship. We offer flexible payment options — monthly, quarterly, or annually — to suit your budget. Our team will walk you through all available sponsorship tiers when we contact you.

Yes! If you've seen a specific child on our website, social media, or at an event, simply include their name in the "Child's Name" field of the form. If the child is still awaiting sponsorship, we'll reserve them for you. If they've already been matched, we'll suggest children with similar backgrounds, age, or dreams that you can connect with.

You'll receive a welcome package with your child's photo and bio within two weeks of starting sponsorship. Thereafter, you'll receive quarterly updates including a letter from your child (translated where necessary), recent photos, academic progress reports, and a note from their social worker. You're also welcome to write letters and send small gifts through our office.

Absolutely — and we highly encourage it! Visits can be arranged with at least two weeks' notice. Our team will coordinate the meeting at our head office or the child's project site, ensuring the visit is safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate. We can also assist with airport pickup, accommodation recommendations, and local transport for our international sponsors.

We accept bank transfers, credit/debit cards via secure online portals, PayPal, mobile money (for sponsors in Uganda and select African countries), and cheques. Our sponsorship coordinator will share detailed payment instructions once your sponsorship is confirmed. All transactions are processed securely and a receipt is issued for every contribution.

NISS Project Uganda is a registered non-profit organization in Uganda. For sponsors in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and several EU countries, we partner with trusted fiscal sponsors that can issue tax-deductible receipts. Please mention your country of residence when we contact you, and we'll guide you on the most tax-efficient way to give.

We understand circumstances change. You can pause your sponsorship temporarily (up to 6 months) by contacting our team, and we'll keep your child in the programme while seeking bridge funding. If you must discontinue sponsorship entirely, please give us 30 days' notice so we can responsibly transition the child to a new sponsor without disrupting their education or care.
